This is a collective of musicians, each bringing their own unique experience to the entire whole, turning original compositions into emotional, heartfelt, and honest music....demonstrating how even the most unadorned melody can transform the delivery in the hands of the performers who truly connect with its message

Taking their name from the arc shape they perform in, Curve Ensemble is a select  group of pioneering player/composers made up of  musicians who met playing with many of the major orchestras and chamber ensembles on platforms throughout the UK and abroad. As individuals they have varied careers as soloists, principal players, orchestral leaders and recording artists on renowned stages worldwide and in London’s iconic studios.

Many of Curve Ensemble’s players compose, improvise and arrange in a variety of genres encompassing folk, contemporary, jazz and experimental sound worlds and this is what sets them apart, giving them a fresh perspective on todays classical music scene. Together they are dedicated to encouraging new ways of listening through collectively interpreting the landscape and language of classical music in the 21st century.

Formed in 2023 for a performance presenting new music from a variety of composers from independent record label Bigo & Twigetti, the ensemble gave a performance of immersive and meditative pieces of music with two of the performers also writing music for the event.

Building on the success of their inaugural concert, the ensemble released their first album 'From the Deep'  in September 2023. This was followed by a concert 'Into the Light' with more original music written by performers and Bigo & Twigetti label composers. They have since performed at Summer Music in City Churches Festival in London, for two more label nights in London.

Last year, Curve Ensemble recorded their second album with seven more original pieces of music written for string ensemble.  All the music is written by members of the ensemble and from their associate composers at Bigo and Twigetti record label.
